About Us
The Inn is operated in memory of Emily who passed away in August of 2016. Emily loved people, and always welcomed them into her home for good conversation and delicious food. The Lacy family feels the Inn is a way to honor her memory and her flair for hospitality to others.
Be not forgetful of hospitality, for by it some have entertained angels unaware. Hebrews 13:2
Hi, I'm Susan, daughter-in-law of Emily. I retired from the Wolfe County Board of Education in June of 2018. My husband Will and I have two grown children, Houston and Hayden, a daughter-in-law Ashtyn and three grandsons Colt, Wyatt and Wesson. We do not live in the bed and breakfast, but we do live on the farm less than a minute from Emily's.
Emily's is a working farm, so you may see myself, my husband Will or our children/grandchildren on the farm during your stay. The chickens, gardens and yard require our attention daily. We will do our best to do noisy jobs ie grass mowing when you are out enjoying other activities and we will respect your privacy when doing other jobs such as gardening and chicken care.
